Annamae Parisi, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2023, after a long illness with dementia. Born in New York, New York to the late Gaetano Bibbo and Mildred (DeGiacomo) Bibbo, she died in her the arms of devoted husband of almost 58 years, Peter Parisi.
Annamae was the youngest child, yet often the family’s caretaker. While her father served in WWII, Annamae grew up in a small apartment on Sullivan Street in New York City’s Lower East Side. She lived alongside her older sisters Elaine and Patricia, her mother Mildred, and her grandmother - fondly called “Grandma Town.” It was during this time that Annamae demonstrated her natural instinct to care for others - a quality she took great pride in.
In the 1960s, Annamae worked in the data processing department as a key punch operator at General Foods. It was here that she met her husband Peter. After months of courtship, Annamae finally agreed to a date with Peter - and the rest is history.
Annamae and Peter married in 1965 and started a family of their own. They relocated to Madison, Connecticut in 1978 and continued to grow their beautiful life together. Over the years, Annamae and Peter built the most incredible marriage - full of trust and unconditional love.
Annamae will be remembered for her quick-wit humor and her passions for cooking, traveling, reading, painting, sewing and looking after her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Annamae is survived by her husband Peter, children (and their spouses) Michelle (Jeff) and Peter (Camilla), and her four grandchildren: Abigail, Maxwell, Olivia and Kaya.
