Wilfred H. St. John, Jr., 90, of North Branford passed away October 11, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Merrill St. John. Son of the late Wilfred H. St. John and Bertha Hansen St. John, he was born in New Haven March 24, 1924. He attended New Haven Schools until he joined the U.S. Naval 94th Seabee Battalion serving his country during World War II for three years in the Pacific in Hawaii and Guam. Upon his return home he worked with his father and brother, Ronald St. John at Standard Pattern Company for 65 years. He was predeceased by his brother and worked until the age of 72. He was a man who could fix or build anything, loved the sea and happily boated with his family on Long Island Sound. He was a proud father of three wonderful sons, Robert W. St. John and his wife Eileen of North Haven, David W. St. John of Racine, WI and Craig W. St. John of North Branford. He also leaves a grandson Matthew St. John and three step grandchildren, Kevin, Kerry (Joann) and Michele Krell. The family would like to thank CT Hospice for all their care and support.
