Wilford Paulinus Howard, 84, died Thursday June 11, 2015 at his home in Guilford, CT surrounded by his loving wife and children.

He was born in Whitesville, KY on December 21, 1930 to Bernard Howard and Mary Alice (Dickens) Howard. He was married to Nancy (Levinworth) Howard on May 2, 1987.

Will grew up in Whitesville, KY then joined the U.S. Navy during the Korean War where he served on the Sub Tender U.S.S. Fulton stationed in New London, CT.

He was an accomplished carpenter in the Guilford area for over 55 years.

Will enjoyed the horse pull events at the many fairs throughout Connecticut,

Bluegrass, and spending time with family and friends.

Will is survived by his wife Nancy and children Mary Alice (Howard) McSherry of Cheshire, Cheryl (Howard) Roark of Wallingford, Susan H. Howard of Durham, Kenneth P. Howard of Greenville, TX, Douglas S. Howard of Durham, Glenn Ryerson of Orlando, FL, Jeff Ryerson of Stafford, VA and predeceased by Dennis P. Howard. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and his many family members in Davies County, KY.
