Virginia, Bierkan, 94, of Madison died September 9, 2014. She was the wife of the late John A. Bierkan. She leaves two sons, Dean A. Bierkan of Allison Park, PA and Kurt R. Bierkan of Evergreen, CO, a brother Ralph Parson of Clinton, and grandchildren, Aren Bierkan of Enfield, Chelsea Hesler of Woodstock, CT, Elizabeth Radzevich of Duxbury, MA and Laura Smith of Los Angeles, CA. Mrs. Bierkan was born in New Britain on July 21, 1920 and was a graduate of New Britain High School. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother.

A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, Madison on Friday at 11:00am. Burial will be private in West Cemetery.
