Susan Gibson, August 14,1953 - October 7, 2017

Susan Gibson age 64, fought a long courageous battle against cancer. She passed peacefully Saturday, October 7, 2017 at The Connecticut Hospice with family and friends at her bedside.

Susan was born in Niagara Falls, NY and grew up in North Haven CT. She attended North Haven High School and later received her Bachelor's Degree from Albertus Magnus College with Honors. She spent her entire adult life working for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Susan is preceded in death by her mother Brenda Gibson and brother Keith Alan Frank.

Susan is survived by her Aunt Sylvia Vignale of Ontario, Canada, sister Paula Frank of Boston MA, niece Erica Heflin-Queen from Maryland, nephew, Walter Heflin from Texas, close friend Nancy Warfield from Connecticut, and many cousins in the Connecticut area.

Susan loved reading, traveling, animals, and music, especially reggae. She vacationed each year in Barbados or Jamaica enjoying the island cultures.

The celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m., October 28th, 2017 at The United Church on the Green, 270 Temple Street, New Haven, CT where she was a member and Deacon of the church.

The family would like to thank the church, hospice, and friends who all helped Susan through her time of need.
