Susan Seidler Chambers, 62, of Hamden died peacefully on July 18, 2017 at the Alzheimer's Resource Center of Connecticut in Plantsville with her husband at her side. She was born on February 9, 1955 in New York City to Sanford and Jean Gordon Seidler. She attended Cornell University followed by the University of Connecticut School of Law. In 1983 she married Wick R. Chambers of Hamden. They have two sons, Jonathan Chambers of Tequesta, FL and Timothy Chambers of Hamden. For 27 years Susan practiced law at Carmody & Torrance, LLP in New Haven becoming a partner in the litigation department. For two years she co-chaired the Federal Practice Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and for four years she served as a Settlement Special Master for the Federal District Court. She loved music, had a beautiful voice and played the guitar skillfully. She also loved to go for walks, to swim, play tennis and work out. In addition to her husband and sons, Susan is survived by her mother, and two sisters, Lyn Seidler of Washington, D.C. and Marianne Seidler of Bellevue, WA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 19th at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Church on the Green in New Haven.
