Philip Sherwood Wexler, 92, of Hamden, died January 28, 2017. Born in Newark, NJ, he is survived by his brother Aaron, three children Mathias, Jonathan, and Tamar and their spouses, five grandchildren and Philip's dear friend Merrily Kaplan. Philip was an army veteran who was graduated from Syracuse University in electrical engineering. An avid flautist and bassoonist, Philip played in local chamber groups and orchestras. He was an active member of the Unitarian Society until his death.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Unitarian Society on February 19th at 3pm at 700 Hartford Turnpike in Hamden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Syracuse University. To sign the online guestbook please visit hawleylincolnmemorial.com.
