Nancy S. Hutchins, 87, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at Branford Hills Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Vernon H. Hutchins, Jr.

Born in Buffalo, NY Oct. 3, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Sweeny. Nancy was a resident of Guilford for 51 years. She was an RN and worked in public health for various Visiting Nurse Associations along the shoreline ending as a Nurse Consultant with the Health Department of the state of CT.

She is survived by a daughter: Linda Paugh and her husband David of Stroudsburg, PA; two sons: Jeffrey Hutchins and his wife Kathryn of Guilford and John Hutchins and his wife Kristin of Clinton; A daughter-in-law: Nancy A. Hutchins of Clinton; One sister: Anne Ladd of Wakefield, RI and 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a son, Robert Hutchins and a sister, Helen Haupt.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the First Congregational Church, 122 Broad St. Guilford.
