Laura Stirling Adamson of Indian Neck, Branford, Conn., formerly of New Canaan, Conn. died peacefully Tuesday noon, July 22, 2014. She was 98 years old.

Laura was born in New Haven, Conn. January 15, 1916. She was a graduate of Vassar College.

Laura was passionate about flowers and gardening and was a longtime member of the Branford Garden Club. She was also a member of the Branford Historical Society and Land Trust, Trinity Church on the Green, New Haven, Conn. and the Vassar Club of New Haven.

Laura is survived by her daughter Ellie Callahan of Harvard, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Robert Norman Scott Adamson.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30 at 11:30am at Trinity Episcopal Church on the Green, 1109 Main Street, Branford, Conn. A private burial will be held first at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, Conn.
