IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith A
Koch
February 15, 1950 – March 24, 2018
Judith Ann (Gibson) Koch of Madison, 68 years young, passed peacefully into eternal life at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, on March 24. She was born on February 15, 1950, in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Mildred Gibson. Judy, as she was known, moved to Connecticut during her early adult years and built a life with her husband Fred in their cozy country home in North Madison. Judy was a kind-hearted woman, a loving mother and wife who spoiled her grandchildren without complaint. She was sweet with a side of zest. She loved knitting, crocheting, beading, making jewelry, quilting, shopping, taking care of her family and a good laugh over coffee with close friends. She was an avid volunteer and used her talents to benefit local cancer organizations and fundraising activities. Judy was renowned for her cooking and baking skills. Everyone always knew where to go to find homemade delicious sweet treats.
She is survived by her husband Fred; her son Tom and his girlfriend Kristine of Madison; her grandchildren Alyssa Picard of Killingworth, and Brooke Picard of Madison; her great-grandson Jaxon; and her dog Harry and goat Louis. Judy will be remembered as a selfless, altruistic wife, mother and grandmother who always had a smile, even when times were tough. She had a quiet strength. She never complained and always looked to a better future. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She was loved deeply and will be missed immensely.
A private burial for close family and friends will be forthcoming. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her over the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Smilow Cancer Center, New Haven, CT. To sign the online guestbook please visit hawleylincolnmemorial.com.
