God in his divine providence came early Good Friday morning for Joseph Dixon Brown Sr. to go home after a long illness. Joseph was born February 7, 1936 to Alberta and Saul Brown. His employment included the United Illuminating Co. and Southern CT State University where he retired from. While working at southern he taught electronics at Eli Whitney at night. He leaves to mourn April Walker, a friend, his daughter Kathaleen Puryear, his son Joseph Brown Jr., a granddaughter Renee, a grandson Lawrence, several great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Private arrangements are with the Hawley Lincoln Memorial, 424 Elm St. New Haven.
