Joseph M. Burbela, age 67, died Sunday May 8th, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born December 30, 1948 in New Haven Connecticut to Joseph and Julia Burbela.

Joe grew up in Orange and Madison, CT. After high school he joined the navy, having served during the Vietnam War era. Joe worked in the ER at Saint Rays Hospital for many years. He was a member of the Legion post #79 among other Veteran groups. He enjoyed football, fishing and hunting.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Julia (Brezicki) Burbela and his brother Gregory Burbela.

Joe is survived by his wife, Linda, two children; Joseph and Mark Burbela; his two granddaughters, Eliza and Kyra Burbela; his sister Kathy Ellis, his niece Jennifer Broderick, his great niece and nephew Hailey and Dillon Broderick as well as numerous other friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew's Church, 232 Durham Road, Madison, CT 06443 at 11:00am on May 21, 2016. There will be a reception to follow in the church hall.
