John Michael Grillo, 76 longtime resident of Guilford and the beloved husband of Carole Grillo passed peacefully on July 29, 2021 with his family by his side. He also leaves his daughters Marissa Grillo of Guilford, Laurie Tomanio of Milford, Kimberly Celotto of West Haven and Kim Delvecchio of North Haven. He also leaves a brother George Grillo of Omaha, NB, 3 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

He was a plant manager for Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman, employee of Anthony's of Guilford and owned a landscaping company. John served as a medic in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Smilow/Yale New Haven Hospital for the care that was given to him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. George Church, Guilford Thursday morning at 11:00. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society, P.O. Box 98018, Washington, DC 20090-8018.
