Joan Moore Beach, 87, of Hamden, CT passed away peacefully on March 26, 2016. Born in Greenport, NY on April 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Cora Stahr Sully and William Whiting Moore and the stepdaughter of Lorain Brierley Sully. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Henry Beach and her son, Anthony Malcolm Maturo.

Mrs. Beach graduated from Hillhouse High School in New Haven and received her Associate in Science degree from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT.

She is best known for her accounting services for local insurance companies and Dickerman's Restaurant when her son was the owner.

She was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. An avid cat owner, there was always one or more cats enjoying a loving environment in her home.

Mrs. Beach is survived by her sister Carolyn Sully Aloisi, niece Paige Brook Green, grandniece Donna Katrina Cyr and greatgrandnephew Takai Larenz Cyr, all of Maryland. She is also survived by her heart felt extended family of granddaughters Shelby Virginia Annulli, and TiffanyRobin Sunshine Jantzer and great-grandson Dominic ShaneMartin Meehan , all of CT.
