Jennie Prosser Robinson of Madison Connecticut passed away peacefully on August 3, 2015 after a brief illness.

Jennie was born on June 17, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY. She attended grade school at Packer Collegiate Institute, Brooklyn, NY, then attended & graduated from Vassar College with a BS in mathematics in 1941. She later continued her education earning a master's degree in education at Southern Connecticut State College in 1960; in addition she attended Williams College School of Banking in 1980.

Jennie grew up in Brooklyn, NY and her family's second home in Center Moriches on Long Island. She is predeceased by an older sister Mary and two younger brothers, Walter and John.

She married John V. Robinson in 1941 and lived a short while in Manhasset, NY. where she worked as an engineering assistant. After the birth of her two sons, the family moved to Tyngsboro, MA where they operated a small farm. The family later moved to Guilford, CT. where they grew Christmas Trees and still maintained a few sheep. In 1960 Jennie began a career as a math and science teacher in Clinton, CT for 15 years. She worked as a Trust Administrator for Union Trust Co. in New Haven, CT for 8 years and then started her own Financial Planning and Consulting business from her home in Madison, CT in 1983.

Among her many interests she enjoyed world travel, especially by ship and visited many European and Asian countries as well as Australia. She enjoyed golf, tennis, sailing, art museums, opera, Bridge clubs and dining out with her many good friends.

Jennie is survived by her two sons Frederick Robinson and wife Julie and Jeffery Robinson and wife Debbie. In addition to her sons she is survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the 1st Congregational Church in Madison, CT on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 2:00pm. There will be no calling hours: interment will be private.
