Jane Branum Dougherty, 85, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Warren Hughes Dougherty of Branford. Jane was Mother of Elizabeth (Betsie) Dougherty of Branford and Jodi Torres of Pleasanton, CA. Jane was born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia. She and Warren raised their family in Cheshire but later moved to Branford where she was active in the community. Jane embraced life, family and friends. We will always remember her many gifts to us.

A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Branford Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow at the clubhouse at Castle Rock, Branford. Those who wish to remember Jane can contribute to the Homemaker Thrift Shop, 4 Brushy Plain Road #115, Branford, CT 06405. Jane was a member of the board and a volunteer at Homemaker Thrift Shop for many years.
