Jane F. Borst died on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She was the daughter of Peter Arthur Thornton and Frances Miller Thornton.

Born in New York City, she graduated from James Monroe High School in the Bronx and from Syracuse University (1948) from which she received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree.

She was the mother of Stephen Borst, Barbara Borst Crary, Ann Borst, Dr. Matthew Borst and Jane Borst Hiller. She had 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be a one-night wake (5-8 p.m.) on Tuesday, May 16, at Hawley Lincoln Funeral Home, 424 Elm Street in New Haven.

An 11 o'clock Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17, at St. Anthony Church, 70 Washington Avenue, New Haven.

Burial will follow at the Grove Street Cemetery.

There will be a reception afterward at the Graduate Club, 155 Elm Street.
