James E. Flanagan, 92, of Branford died Wednesday, April 15, 2015. He was the son of the late John and Mary Flanagan, twin brother of the late Charles N. Flanagan, brother of the late Mary Joan Messier of Kennebunk, Maine, brother of Judge John Flanagan and retired Judge Robert Flanagan and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jim graduated from St. Mary's High School and Fordham University. He and his twin brother Charlie worked together in the automobile repair business. Hobby wise, he was an accomplished painter and excellent swimmer. Jim also spent a good amount of his spare time volunteering at Hospice in Branford.
