Obituary

Helen was born in Houston, Texas on June 28, 1929. The first born child of the late Frederick and Edna Aaron, she entered into eternal peace at the CT Hospice in Branford on January 19. Helen is survived by her beloved husband Fred Renken, son Michael Brenneis (Cathy Ann), daughter Cathy Connor Goldman (Rob), her brother P. Chet Aaron (Paulette), sister Estelle Carbone (Vincent), foster son John Jean Pierre (Charlene), sister in law Ursula Renken, best friend Lorraine D'Antico and eight grandchildren: Kelly and Michael Connor, Christopher (Katie), Mitchell and Jessica Brenneis and Melanie and April Brenneis. Helen also leaves four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Mitchell Brenneis(Edna) and infant son Stephen.


Helen enjoyed working and making great friends at Lucy Baltzell of Hamden and Michael's Jewelers of Guilford. She loved to paint her beautiful memories of Block Island and always enjoyed her plate of clams. Most of all she loved her friends and family.



Please note the following change in service times: Funeral services will be held at the Hawley Lincoln Memorial, 493 Whitney Ave., New Haven Thursday morning at 10:00. Interment will be at the Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday (today) from 4-7pm.
