Obituary

Gretchen Ann Kamp Wolf, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passionate interior designer, antique enthusiast, and lover of all beautiful things, passed away peacefully at home on May 29th, 2024. Gretchen's passion and vision as a collector and decorator were influenced by her father and mother.

Born on October 9th and raised in Hamden, CT Gretchen graduated from Mt Ida College and the Maria Montessori School in London, England. She later taught at the Vicarage School of Montessori in Hamden, CT alongside her mother and aunt and where she met her husband of 44 years Drew Wolf.

Gretchen and Drew raised their three daughters, Ryan, Jordan and Erin in Miami, FL and after 30 years she and Drew recently moved back to Hamden, CT to be closer to their family.

Gretchen is predeceased by her mother, Margaret (Sis) Kamp and her father Frederick Edward Kamp. She is survived by her husband Drew Wolf, her daughters Ryan Wolf Moritz (Cort) of Westport, CT, Jordan Wolf Weinstein (Jeff) of Miami Beach, FL, and Erin Wolf of New York City; her sister Betsey Kamp Park (Charlie), her brother Hon. Michael Kamp ( Kate), Elise Petroni Kamp and her beloved grandchildren Reid, Blake, Georgia, and Ryder.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday June 1st at 12p, St. Rita's Church 1620 Whitney Avenue Hamden, CT.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cycle for Survival directed to Reid's Wolfpack.
