Edwin E. Benton, 95 of Guilford died May 5, 2023. He was the father of Kathryn Benton of Killingworth, Jennifer Benton Ruiz of Killingworth, Laura Waugaman of Park City, Utah, Elliot Benton of Guilford, Kasha Benton of Alabama and was recently reunited with his daughter, Susan Skerritt of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. He was born June 20, 1927 in the family farmhouse in Sachem's Head where he has resided his entire life. He had a successful construction company, Edwin E. Benton Builders. He was very active with the Guilford Land Trust and the Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Society in Madison.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8, at 3:00pm at the First Congregational Church, Guilford followed by interment in Alder Brook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Guilford Land Conservation Trust, PO Box 200, Guilford.
