Dorothy S. Reynolds, 104, of the Masonicare Wright Residence in Wallingford died March 11, 2015. She was the wife of the late Howard Reynolds. Dorothy was born August 12, 1910 and worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital for many years. Upon retirement she and her husband moved to Florida. After his passing, Dorothy returned to Connecticut and later moved to the Masonicare facility where she resided until her death. Dorothy took each day as it came with a positive attitude. Reading novels and magazines, knitting countless baby hats for Midstate Medical Center's Birthing Center and painting ceramics flawlessly kept her busy in her later years. According to Dorothy, her recipe for life was surviving, moving and keeping complaints to herself. Dorothy was an amazing lady, she loved life and her family and she was grateful for every moment. She was an inspiration to all those who were fortunate to have known her. Dorothy leaves a son Kent Withycombe (Roseanne)of Kennebunk, ME, a grandson Brian Withycombe of Kensington, granddaughters Debra Garvey of Hamden and Lauren Munger of S. Weymouth, MA, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Dorothy was predeceased by a son Thomas Withycombe and a grandson Todd Withycombe.
