David E. Smith, 61, of Clinton peacefully passed away at Middlesex Hospital on November 8th. Dave was born on February 14, 1953 in Amityville, Long Island to Edward and Dorothy Smith. Dave is survived by his mother, son Rob, and sister Sue. He attended school in Madison, and lived there until 2011 after which moving to Clinton. Dave has had a full and interesting life. He loved fishing, the Old Saybrook Auxiliary VFW of which he was President, his family, metal scrapping, and travel. Dave was preceded in death by his wife Veronica, brother Ken, and father Edward. The family wishes to express many thanks for the care that Dave received while in the hospital and in hospice.
