Chrissie Eisensmith, a resident of Maplewood Assisted Living Facility in Orange and formerly of West Haven, CT, passed away on June 4, 2015 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Eisensmith, her sister, Jean Curley and survived by her four children, Terry Eisensmith of Boca Raton, FL and Guilford, CT, Keith Eisensmith of East Haven, Carol Baia of West Haven and James Eisensmith of Madison. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, three nieces and four nephews. Chrissie was born on January 26, 1924 in Stanley England, the daughter of Jane and James Pogson. During World War II she served with the British Royal Air Force and was stationed in Northern England. It was during the War that she met and married Charles Eisensmith who was serving with the medical staff in the U.S. Army Air corps. After the War they moved to West Haven, CT where they raised their family. They were both active in the VFW, Post 1684 for many years.
