Carolyn Evans Deming died after a long illness on May12. She was the beloved wife of The Reverend Robert Edwin Deming,mother of Elizabeth Anne (Deming) Maietto and sister of Betsey Lesieur. She was predeceased by a sister Sandra Emily Evans. She was born on July 31, 1941 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the late Irving Equi Evans and Elsie Partington Evans. Carolyn grew up in Cumberland, R.I. and after High School attended the Central Technical Institute in Hartford. Ct. She worked for several years for the then B.O.A.C. (British Airways) and then as a parish secretary in several Episcopal Churches. She married Fr. Deming on May 18, 1978 and was predeceased by a son David. She lived in Orange, Ct for 48 years.

Her Requiem Mass is scheduled for Saturday, May22, Christ Church at 11 in the morning.
