On August 23, 2022, Bridget Anne Leary, 72, of Edgewater New Jersey, died at the Connecticut Hospice after a short illness. Born in New Haven on July 11,1950, to Rita R. and Thomas G. Leary, Bridget grew up in East Haven. In 1972 she graduated Albertus Magus College with a degree in chemistry. Bridget subsequently moved to Colorado, Nebraska and most recently New Jersey. She was an IT professional and a world traveler who was proud to have visited over 60 countries throughout the world. She was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants, and lover of Irish music.

She is survived by two brothers, Thomas G. Leary of New Haven and Robert J. Leary of Guilford and St Petersburg, FL; 2 nieces (Maureen and Katie), 3 nephews (Sean, Kevin and Andrew) and 1 grandniece (Alys). She is predeceased by brother, Joseph Leary.

The family will be holding a private service in the fall to celebrate Bridget's life. In lieu of flowers and donations please go to your favorite watering hole and tip a little Irish whiskey to Bridget. She'll be smiling down on you.
