Angus Neal Gordon Jr, 97, of Hamden passed away quietly in his home November 21, 2016 on the 74th wedding anniversary of his marriage to Louise Patterson Gordon. Angus came to New Haven to attend Yale in 1937. After graduation he served 5 years in the newly formed Weather Division of the USAAF during WWII. He returned to New Haven to attend Yale Law, going on to become a partner in Wiggin and Dana Law Firm. He served as President of United Illuminating before becoming their Chairman of the Board and CEO. He retired from UI to be the president of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council. He has served this community in many capacities over the years. He is survived by his brother, Graham Gordon, his dear friend Miriam Lillis, and many loving and devoted nieces and nephews.
