Alfred Slocum was born in October 1937 in New Haven, CT to Clifford and Jean Slocum. He enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 17 and served his country overseas for four years. For much of his life, he was the Owner of Jibstar Antiques, a profession that brought him into contact with a wide range of people. It was a profession he enjoyed until his last days. He had many interests and loved the outdoors, especially the shoreline. He is survived by wife Christina, children Tom Slocum, Laurie Hildebrandt, and David Slocum, grandchildren Jamie, Adam, Shannon, and Phylicia, and nephew Matthew & nieces Justina and Monica and their families.
