Albert John Joseph Henry Fox Lorenze, Jr. "John" of Branford, formerly of Guilford and Kiawah Island, SC, passed away peacefully at the age of 81, on August 25, 2023. John is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Lorraine, who have been together since the age of 16. They had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He also leaves his two adored children and six grandchildren, who were his world. Mark (Nancy) Lorenze, Amy (Todd) DeMarseilles, Whitney, Zachary, Paige, Julia, Jack and Will. John was well known for his love for his family, as they were his entire world. A true family man.

John was born on July 27, 1942 in New Jersey. John graduated from Amity High School in 1960, and furthered his education by attending and graduating from UCONN in 1964. John went on to receive his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1977.

John was a self-made man, who had much success in business. John mentored many along the way, and willingly gave good business advice, while also showing continued support.

John was a very talented athlete and played multiple sports, soccer, basketball, baseball, an exceptional golfer and a great skier. A workout fanatic! Whether you were part of his family, a business associate, or were his friend, it was an honor to know this man. Known for his welcoming demeanor, sincerity, warm smile, generosity, loyalty and sharp humor.

A private family celebration will be held. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions in John's memory can be made to Connecticut Hospice. Arrangements are with the Hawley Lincoln Memorial, Guilford.
